1st Region: Mason Atnip, Paducah Tilghman
The freshman midfielder nailed in two goals in his debut for Paducah Tilghman in a 4-1 win over Trigg County. Atnip is very creative with the ball and has exceptional technique on the field.
2nd Region: Braeden Myers-Curry, Henderson County
The senior forward had a strong opening week for Henderson County. Myers-Curry opened up the season with two goals and two assists against Hopkins County Central. The senior followed that up with two more goals vs. North Hardin. Myers-Curry will be one to watch in the 2nd region as he looks to lead Henderson to a region title.
3rd Region: Eh Wah, Apollo
The senior midfielder from Apollo scored two goals against Owensboro in the first match of the season. Apollo looks to be a contender in the tough 3rd region once again this season.
4th Region: Yaredi Yaredi, Bowling Green
The senior striker netted two goals during the opening matchup for Bowling Green as they captured a 5-1 win over Madisonville-North Hopkins.
5th Region: Kobe Ryan, Elizabethtown
Ryan, a sophomore defender, was very impressive this past week. Ryan is a very physical and fast defender who is not afraid to take any chances. The arch for Etown. Ryan’s stellar defending only kept Trinty to one goal. The sophomore is a force on the field. Ryan also had two assists this past week against John Hardin.
6th Region: Colin Elder Colin Elder F Bullitt East | 2023 KY , Bullitt East
The senior forward for Bullitt East is on a mission this season. Elder opened up the season with two hat tricks and then followed that up with four goals against Bullitt Central. Elder sits at 13 goals on the season. Elder also now holds the record for all-time leading scorer for Bullitt East with 55 career goals.
7th Region: Stone Work, St. Xavier
The sophomore forward started the season with a hat trick vs Moore along with one assist and then followed that up with another hat trick against Montgomery County. St X will once again be a solid team in the 7th Region along with Trinity, Manual and Ballard
8th Region: Charlie Christ Charlie Christ M KY , North Oldham
The senior midfielder strikes this past week with two goals against Dunbar. Christ is a key midfielder for the defending 8th Region champion North Oldham.
9th Region: Ryan Desmond, Newport Central Catholic
The junior midfielder had a big week. Desmond opened up the season with two goals against Simon Kenton. Desmond followed that up with two goals against Walton-Verona. The midfielder ended the week with an assist vs. GRC.
10th Region: PK Vogel, George Rogers Clark
The junior forward opened the season for GRC with four goals and one assist against Madison Central. Vogel will be a key player in the 10th Region and for GRC.
11th Region: Kasen Johnson, Paul Laurence Dunbar
The junior scored a goal against North Oldham to open up the season for the defending state champions. The defender is very technical and is very hard to get off the ball. Johnson will be among the top players in the state this season
12th Region: Tristan Compton Tristan Compton F KY , Boyle County
The senior forward began the season with a goal and an assist against Bryan Station. Compton followed that up with five goals vs. Wayne County Compton will be strong for Boyle County this season.
13th Region: Tanner Broyles, North Laurel
Broyles, a junior midfielder, scored a goal last week vs. Scott County. North Laurel looks to be a contender for the 13th region.
14th Region: Nate Cook, Letcher County Central
The senior goalkeeper recorded 25 saves vs. Johnson Central this past week.
15th Region: Brayden Staniford, Johnson Central
The junior forward opened up the season with two goals vs. Greenup County, Staniford continued his start to the season with two goals and one assist against Letcher County Central. The forward ended the week with a goal against Estill County.
16th Region: Blake Mullen, Rowan County
Mullen began the season with a goal against Model, followed by two goals against Menifee County. Mullen ended the week with a goal vs. Harrison County.
